Denham Jolly

Denham Jolly is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Milestone Radio Inc.. In 2000, after 12 years of trying and three applications, the CRTC awarded him and his team an FM license to operate frequency in 93.5 in the City of Toronto, making him the first black person to receive a radio station licence in Canada.

A successful entrepreneur and recognized philanthropist, Denham Jolly is highly respected in the Toronto area for his business acumen and community efforts. His name was recently added to the Who's Who of Ontario, the International Who's Who of Professionals and the Who's Who of Canada.

A Bachelor of Science graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Jolly also holds an Ontario High School Teacher's Certificate. Relevant to his studies, Jolly worked on nutrition research for the Government of Jamaica and air pollution research for Metropolitan Toronto. He also taught chemistry and physics at Forest Hill Collegiate in Toronto for seven years.

From 1982 to 1985 Jolly was publisher of CONTRAST, Toronto's weekly Black community newspaper and was founder and first president of the Black Business and Professional Association of Toronto.
